If you’re researching Charleston wedding venues for your upcoming wedding, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope you find the Charleston wedding venue of your dreams!
Before I dive into Charleston SC wedding venues, let me first give you a little backstory.
Charleston SC holds a special place in my heart! I first went to Charleston after high school graduation when my friends and I stayed in Kiawah Island for our beach week trip. I was immediately enchanted by Charleston.
Cut to many visits later, many years later and I had returned to the Holy City to photograph a Charleston engagement session for one of my couples. My boyfriend Scott had come along and we enjoyed a really fun, long weekend in the city.
The day after I finished shooting the engagement session, Scott and I went to White Point Garden in The Battery to hang out in the park and eat lunch before we headed home. I was editing some engagement sneak peeks for my couple, and an intimate wedding ceremony began in the gazebo behind us.
Before I knew what was happening, Scott was on one knee proposaing to me!
Needless to say, Charleston is now further cemented as a forever favorite place on this planet.
Here are a few photos from my surprise proposal in Charleston!
