Jefferson Hotel Wedding | Allison & Jason

Allison & Jason had a beautiful day for their Jefferson Hotel wedding in Richmond with a touching St. John’s United Church of Christ wedding ceremony.

The couple met at a mutual friend’s birthday party, and Jason proposed on the front porch of the couple’s new (and first!) home after a long walk through Richmond, where they passed by their first apartment and other sentimental locations.

They chose the Jefferson Hotel because they loved its architecture and overall old, historic vibe. They also love the food at Lemaire and were wanting their wedding food to be great too!

Their soft, pastel color scheme of champagne, white, forest green, sky blue was offset by the wedding party’s black attire. The entire day was flawlessly executed by Bryce Carson at Roberts & Co. (I loved working with Bryce—he’s so detail-oriented!)

The bridal party started their day at The Jefferson Hotel while the groomsmen enjoyed drinks and frisbee golf at the couple’s home while they got ready.

Then we headed to the St. John’s United Church of Christ for the couple’s ceremony. Allison wore her veil demurely over her face, and you could see Jason’s emotions on his face as she walked toward him.

There was a little hallway in the church where they put the wedding party until guests cleared and we could take family formals. It had the most beautiful light with amazing shadows of the couple outlined on the stone walls.

After we took family portraits, we headed back to the Jefferson for wedding party portraits, couple portraits, and of course, dinner, drinks, and dancing!

Allison and Jason are so sweet, and obviously so loved! Allison & Jason, you guys are the best, and I loved working with you both and your whole wedding day!
